Martin Lewis Podcast on ISAs

I listened to Martins last podcast on ISAs 17-7-2023 and he mentioned at 41mins that
NS&I has a 1Yr fixed ISA at 5.1% which is quite a good deal.

I have looked at the NS&I site and cannot find any fixed rate ISAs am I missing something or was this maybe a slip of the tongue?

Thanks,

Did you mean to say 17 July?  It wouldn't be a surprise if an account mentioned a month ago is no longer available....
  • Yes 17 July this was his last podcast, NS&I aren't normally a fast paced organisation but it could be possible?

It doesn't take long to withdraw a product from sale or to change rates!  Like most institutions going through the frequent base rate changes, NS&I have made numerous adjustments to their offerings this year.

a 1Yr fixed ISA at 5.1% which is quite a good deal.
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/best-cash-isa/#fixed has the market-leading rates as 5.7%+ now....

These were Martins words from the podcast not mine, I am aware that this was a month ago and rates have increased in this time, I was just trying to look it up to see if this rate had improved?

I cannot find an NS&I fixed rate ISA in either the current or historical listings on the site?

I've had a look at this.
    It's the 19/07 podcast.

The title is about ISAs, but the "5.12% 1 year fix" he mentions (he didn't say ISA for this bit), is the Guaranteed Income Bond AER.
