pls approx how long does it take to get an offer from abbey after the survey

    Most places take from 2 days to 1 week

    Guess it depends on when the surveyer submits their report to the lender. I recently got mine from Abbey dated 2 days after the survey was done.

    Wow - that is quick! Actually I used Abbey for my first mortgage and it must have been pretty quick as we did a 28 day exchange and didn't even apply for the mortgage until over a week after offering on the house.
    This time (through a different lender) it took 5-6 weeks after the survey and endless phonecalls before we actually got a mortgage offer.

    I've just done my mortgage through egg and it took about 14 days from contacting them to getting a formal offer, was really happy with their service.
