Amazon are ending their Small and Light programme on 25th September which will mean a price increase of 70p per item for many Prime items under £10.

This makes Fulfilment by Amazon (ie. Prime) non viable for lots of third party sellers, particularly card sellers and those selling things sub £5.

Rather than pay a removal fee on 25th many are selling at cost price now and in the run up to 25th to clear stock before the new fees kick in.

Sort by cheapest price and you will find plenty that has been reduced!
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.10

I have read in my magazine that Amazon Prime will charge £1.99 for orders totalling under £20 from 18 September.

Yes apparently for same day delivery for orders under £20.  Must admit I don't know how they have managed no delivery charges for so long.  I have signed up to Prime a couple of times when it was 1 month free and I wanted to order a couple of things for Christmas or whatever.  And then I would cancel so that I didn't have to pay for month 2.

The charge is only for the same-day deliveries, not the next day ones.   Complete rip off if you ask me, but next day will be free of delivery charge as normal.

How is it a rip off? Amazon  for so long have provided this service at no extra cost? You will pay a premium at almost all other online retailers for same day delivery if that's possible

I don't have Prime and always choose free delivery option even if I have to wait

Thing is I have had same day or next day so perhaps those that don't pay will still get same day

I don't suspect they will allow vans to stand due to no same day delivery requests

     Amazon prime is so convenient.
We were running out of bin liners and dog food. I was working from home and husband was away for the day.
One click and they were in my house 11 hours later. Next day suits me.
If I ever forget a birthday, or other occasions I have been able to select a suitable gift and it's there almost immediately.  I have even sent gifts to people on holiday.
The TV channel isnt too bad, and love playing my playlists on the Alexa.

Amazon Prime is worth it for TV channel, podcasts and (restricted) free music plus ebooks.

If you don't have prime, they will keep prompting you for a free months trial.  I just wait until I have a large item to buy and use the trial to get the free next day delivery and cancel it immediately.  I then try and find something to watch on prime video before it runs out (Which is pretty hard to do these days as they don't seem to add as many shows or films that I like as Netflix do.)  There seems to be no limit on how many free trials or a week for 99p deals you can have.

Also, agree with one of the above comments, most things are delivered for free very quickly anyway, they are pretty efficient and they don't want orders sitting around in their system.

I also get the Disney channel once or twice a year and watch the few films and shows that I am interested in since I last had it.

I can't justify the money, having three or four streaming subscriptions on the go at once, when most of them don't add enough things that I want to watch regularly enough anyway.
Think first of your goal, then make it happen!

I only have Prime when there is a free trial.
I have found it is not as good as it originally was.  The delivery previously 1 hour.  Now you have to order by lunch time for delivery by 10pm.
