Wicked Lady it was strange to see someone mentioning Stony Stratford as I lived and worked there for a few years before returning to Wales, it's a lovely place and really nice people. Enjoy your time away again.
taff I haven't seen you post for a while, or have I just missed you, I hope you're ok.
Crisca 50 I'll have to send the Sandman out for the two of us tonight !
We got home from the sm about 8.30, put the shopping away and had a bacon roll, now I'm plonked back on the sofa and doing absolutely nothing. We missed the rain this morning but it's now that persistent light stuff which soaks you in minutes and it's so dark, I needed the light on to cook the bacon !
Right another coffee calls, enjoy your day everyone if you can.

Hi all and thanks for the start nmlc x
I've haven't posted for a few days. DDad returned to Cyprus on Wednesday, has already seen the urologist there and is going back on 24 August for treatment. In the meantime they've changed some of his meds. He's doing okay, I just need to contain my worries about him being so far away. Thanks for all the good wishes x
I've had my VR letter so now need to make a decision - I have two weeks to let them know. Will discuss with DH over the weekend.
Hugs to all those lacking sleep - hope you have a better night tonight x

Bit late today, thanks nmlc for starting.Raining here. DH & I did manage a little trip up to Boundary Mill at Colne. We had some lunch there and DH bought a fleece greatly reduced, and a thicker one too. I got a going out top & some sweets for the DGC ready for the match tomorrow, and liquorice for DH, he loves it! I always enjoy seeing the hills when we go North of our town and further. On the way back nearer home we spotted some bad smoke & apparently a school was on fire, it was really thick and grey. According to local news, there was ongoing work being carried out.We picked DGS up from his DM, he really enjoyed his camping trip towards the NE, with SD and little brother. We had to go back again this morning as he left some of his sports kit he needs tonight.DH said he'd drop me off and carry on to DS so I popped in the house to get DGS an ice lolly. He was on my phone engrossed so I handed over the lolly and shut the door. Apparently he didn't realise I hadnt got back in the car & was looking for me when they arrived
Mind you, I do trick him sometimes
We had quiche for tea. Tonight stir fry.Glad to hear DD will be treated soon CoxyNanny glad the docs are listening now. Dp1 hope the appeal goes well.I've just got rid of 2 big bags of tat in my neighbours bin- she said I could use it when they're away and it will be emptied before they get backTake care all x

Rosy, it was Bolton School 😕
I'm another poor sleeper - I saw every hour from 10.30pm when I put out my light to 3am, then 5am and woke again at 7.50am, when I gave up & made a brew.
I had a video call today with my IFA for a pension review and to start the ball rolling to release some tax-free cash & pay off my mortgage, so he's now working on that 😊
Coxy, hope the VR discussion isn't too onerous, and I was glad to see your dad is taking the health issues seriously by seeing a Dr over there. It must be really difficult for you & your sister knowing that he's unwell and overseas x
Gers, I keep debating a trip to Oban & that area - would you recommend it? Is there much to see apart from the spectacular views?
