Morning all and thanks for the start off NMLC.
I've been awake since silly o'clock and up since just before 5am after a night of tossing and turning and thinking too much, so I might need a nana nap later. As Mr Fix It is now also up we'll head out to the sm about 7am as I need to restock the fridge and cupboards ready for the DGC as they're staying over for a few nights starting on Sunday. Maybe we'll have a takeaway Indian meal tonight too.
Hope everyone has a good day today, I shall send many hugs anyway.
Take care all

Morning allFriday's my day off work and I need it after a difficult week there. Going to do the minimum today after waking up at silly o'clock (me too @nannywindow ) and putting the washing out on the line as apparently it's going to rain around 11am so hope it's dry by then and I can bring it in, otherwise it's going to have to finish off on the airer. Off to do food shopping later and then if the weather clears up this afternoon I'll be out in the garden with my book that I've just started. Not sure what's for dinner yet but must include some veg for a change instead of the easy option of frozen peas!!Take care everyone x13

Morning all.The weather yesterday was so lovely, hot sunshine with clear skies. I drove up to Oban for some shopping and wandering around in the day but the place was heaving!I'm just about to head off back down the road to Glasgow for a medical appointment, just a routine one. I don't have much else to do there so will be coming straight back.Sorry to those who are struggling with sleep. Hugs to those struggling with ill health or looking after ailing parents. Happy Friday to everyone.12

Morning All
The sun was shining earlier but it's gone back to bed! I put the WM on but not sure if I should hang it out or not, decisions!
Really busy day at work yesterday but quite enjoyable, probably more of the same again today. The children are settling in well and the teachers are moaning as usual!
Hope you're feeling better now dp1.
Pleased to hear Lyla is more settled Rosy.
Enjoy your holiday WL.
Did your DDad go home Coxy?
Thinking of those struggling, take care of yourselves. XX12 -
Good morning,
Don't know which way the weather is going today, it's looking a bit gloomy at the moment.
Sending sympathy to those who've had a bad night - hope you manage a nap later.
Met up with a couple of friends yesterday and had a good chat. One of them is moving house, and was telling us about the things that are going wrong, what an awful business it is. I felt sorry for her.
I've got sewing to do today, some alterations of my own that have been hanging about for too long, and Dil's mum has asked me to do 2 more of the sofa bolster cushion covers I made for her 2-3 months ago.. I have some of the fabric left but will need more, I'll go out for that. That's what I'm planning anyway.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.13 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Sympathy for the non-sleepers, I share your pain. It's looking overcast so it's hit and miss what we end up with today. I have given up believing the forecasts.
My new microwave duly arrived yesterday but it's still on the hall floor! It took me forever to unpack it and squash all the boxes and packing material up. That's all now in the relevant bins. But it's so darned heavy it was far from the simple job I expected it to be.. I was shattered by the time I had finished and I hadn't the energy to try and lift it on the worktop so it spent the night on the floor! Why it needs to be so much heavier than previous ones I have no idea.
Being Friday it must be Tidy Day and the usual dust and vac all round. My head start yesterday didn't get beyond the kitchen as I got side tracked which easily happens! I decided to do a spot of batch cooking instead. Now all rammed into the already full freezers. The way this weather has been all summer goodness knows what winter holds so I am getting well prepared!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Thinking of you with elderly parent worries. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Hi everyone,
I'm up with just Esben for company. He wants his train track out but daddy said he had to tidy up the other toys so there is room, I said I'd help but then he decided he didn't want to do it so we are at an impasse, I'm not going to do it for him so we'll see how much he really wants his train out.
Yesterday was a very quiet one but today Steve and I are going across to see Crystal and Nate and probably try to help with a garden tidy up before Nate's birthday party next weekend.
Probably ravioli for dinner, quick and easy after a day away.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning all
Pouring with rain here and set in for the day we are also to expect thunder and lightning 🙄 not a day to be outside but the dogs will need to have a walk at some point.
Carpet man is coming today to measure up hopefully he can fit us in soon the stairs and landing wooden floors are very loud when someone gets up in the night for the bathroom.
Dinner tonight will be scallop and prawn pasta or rice I will make something up later, it will involve lots of garlic and some wine 😃
Will hoover through and mop the floors this morning, can’t do much more until we get things back to normal tomorrow, OH will be making and fitting new curtain rails and a new handrail for up the stairs, there is also a flat pack cupboard to put together which the hoover will sit in.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -

Morning all. So dull and dark here today.
It was lovely to have a free day yesterday. We managed to get out for lunch then drove over to Stony Stratford to collect a t shirt DH had ordered from the R*han shop. After that we bought ice creams from a new place in the High St I'd been wanting to try and sat and ate them in the church lych gate seating. Later in the evening we were out with the Morris but they stopped dancing before 9pm as it was getting too dark, even though the pub had put their lights on.
Today is still relaxed, as we don't need to get to our overnight stop in Harrogate until this evening, so we have plenty of time to pack and sort out anything else at home. Gave a bag of plums to our neighbour but there are going to be lots ripening on the tree whilst we're away so will tell DD to come over and help herself if she wants some.
Have a good day everyone and will probably read along whilst away.11
