Incorrect piece of flooring supplied and laid

    Surely you did not manage to order just enough flooring to fit the room in exact box sizes? The fitter should have noticed the variation in grain and colour and set aside this plank to only use if absolutely necessary where it would not stick out like a sore thumb. Yes the plank appears totally different which is the responsibility of the supplier who should acknowledge this but fitter obviously at fault as well. I would try to get pack of replacement flooring from supplier and check through for variations before allowing fitter to rectify. Unless he's glued all the joints it should lift easily.
