Triple Defaults - Same debts`

Options
Hi all,

Following on from my CCJ question regarding credit history defaults.

Looking through a credit file there is a oine particular creditor - HBOS - who have defaulted on a debt. Fair enough, however then both a company called LOWELL and PERCH have also defaulted these debts. The default amounts are identical.

How can a debt be defaulted three times? Is it possible to get the latter agency to remove them?

If they all show the same default date, they're all the same default, it just means your debt has been passed around to a couple of different collection agencies. Even though these show up separately when you look at your credit report, it's only one default and is only taken in to consideration as such by prospective lenders (though one default is enough that the major lenders offering the best rates on their products won't touch you).

Lowell and Perch Capital are both debt purchasing companies, could be one has sold the debt to the other.

The earliest entry should show the date of default, and a zero balance, the next in line should be the same, the latest entry should also show the same default date, and also the outstanding balance.

As long as the default date is identical on all three, its fine.
