“Solidcore” Doors Reviews?

Hi all,
I am looking at replacing my front door, some of the prices I’ve been quoted have been insane.
Also open to alternative manufacturer recommendations or who to avoid!
I am looking at replacing my front door, some of the prices I’ve been quoted have been insane.
A local company has quoted us £1800 to supply and fit a door from “Solidcore”. I have done some searching but I can’t seem to find any reviews online for this manufacturer. Has anyone purchased one of these doors and can give any feedback.
it will not allow me to post there website but it is simply www.solidcoredoors.co.uk

£1,800 doesn't sound too crazy. We had a composite door fitted about 7 years ago and it cost £1,100 then. Can't remember which brand we had, Solidor sounds familiar.0

One of the companies we've had quote recently for windows and doors uses Solid Core for composite doors at ~£2000ish for the designs we're considering. I couldn't find much on them either but based on their door designer they seem to be part of Future Products, which doesn't seem to be that well reviewed compared to say Endurance doors, which the other companies quoted for (£1600-£2100) so I'm probably going to go one of those.0

I had new windows and a front door a few months ago. The door is Solidor, and was nearly £2k, but a different choice of colour/window/furniture could have made it cheaper. I'd highly recommend them.If you think you're smarter than the previous generation - 50 years ago the owner's manual of a car showed you how to adjust the valves.

We had a Solidor fitted last year for £1700, but I managed to knock him down a bit to that as we were spending £15K on aluminium windows. Solidor were one of the few companies I could find who did a largely glazed front door which was what we were looking for. Locks are substantial and the key has to go in and out on the horizontal plane which confuses people who aren't familiar with them.

“Confuses people who aren’t familiar with them”. Himself is still getting used to it, bless him 😁If you think you're smarter than the previous generation - 50 years ago the owner's manual of a car showed you how to adjust the valves.

We had a new Solidor installed a few months ago. Really pleased with it.
The two reasons I went for this as opposed to another brand was partly the solid core construction (as opposed to many cheaper doors that use filly foam), but mainly because the door colour is solid throughout the facing materia(i.e. similar to lego) as opposed to being painted on it

We had front, back and Garage side doors by 'Endurance'..... extremely happy with them, really thick and heavy quality doors.0
