Credit Karma Ratings

Options
I get a monthly email from Credit Karma and this month it said there was a change in my credit score.

Sure enough when I logged in, I had dropped 4pnts but I cannot see why.  I haven't taken out any loans, missed any payments nor had any credit checks.

Nothing, apart from the drop in credit score, has changed since last month.

Any ideas why? or how to find out why?

Thanks

I think mine said that this month too, it’s just to get you to click on the email. Credit score is completely meaningless. What lenders want to see is that nothing is out of the ordinary, no missing or late payments etc

Its a made up score and changes are designed to try to sell you other services or get affiliate fees from links etc.

Please read the sticky at the top of this board, it explains a lot.

These companies are credit brokers, they use the pretend score to sell you credit improvement products such as cards and loans, the information stays the same, the number goes up and down depending which direction the wind is blowing, ignore the score, its all one enormous marketing gimmick.

I had the same too. “This is quite normal for us readjusting.” Or whatever. Mine dropped 4 points too. It’s totally meaningless at the end of the day.
