Opening burner account with Santander advice on account switching cashback

So last year I switched from Starling to Nationwide and received my first switching cashback of £200. I am now getting around to switch again but currently so happy with Nationwide (I get 5% on £1500 for 12 months)) I thought I’d keep it until the high interest period ends in October. In the meantime, I decided to open a Santander burner account today and target NatWest for their current £200 switch deal, then see how much I can accrue over the next 3 months.
My question is …should I leave it a week til the account is ‘bedded in’ or is it possible to switch straightaway before receiving the card, etc? I already have online access as have a joint account, savings and mortgage with Santander.
Also, may seem a silly question …but if I want to then switch to RBS would it be sensible to use the new NatWest account to do that, or just close it, then open another burner with Santander?

First Direct (the online and phone brand of HSBC) will not pay a switching bonus to anyone who has received a bonus from HSBC in the previous few years, so I would imagine NatWest brands may do something similar.1 -
If the account you want to switch comes with a debit card, you’ll have to wait for it to arrive before you switch as you’ll need the card number.1

You can switch a different burner account into all 3 of the NatWest group
Natwest RBS and Ulster
Open easy accounts to use as a burner like Metro, Monzo, Starling
You can do them all at the same time as I did but you need the debit card of each
Ulster seems to be the slowest and none of them are good at communicating with you1 -
I switched Santander (3) and Nationwide (4) 'burner' accounts when I had/have other accounts with them, no problems switching to all three of the NatWest group.
You can switch your new NatWest account to RBS if you wish, others have no issue with this (I think it's a little bit cheeky).
One note of caution ... banks are unpredictable beasts, especially at the moment, if you are reliant on one as you seem to be (Santander) I would think twice about possibly drawing attention to yourself.1 -
You’ve done Santander, why not open another nationwide account, spread it about a bit….1
