As per title I was happily assuming my "Online Easy Access" account (opened 2019) interest rate was rising in-line with their "interest rates table" for said account as with other banks, only to find today that I'm not getting the current 4% merely 1%

Same with most banks that do "issues". It doesn't take long to move to a new account. They don't update existing ones I guess because some won't move to higher rates.

Every time a new rate/issue comes out its discussed on here as is the need to internal transfer to the higher rate.

I closed my accounts as I couldn't be bothered with the faffing about from Cynergy. The tiny bit extra rate above other providers, on a new account wasn't worth the aggro of keep having to check to see if they had issued a new rate.

im amazed anyone has managed to open an account with cynergy, it took me ages to set up, failed password attempts, passcodes, sms verifications, over 20 minutes on the phone to them and they couldnt manage to send a verification code that works, so i gave up. Ive never had problems with atom, tandem, ford, smartsave df capital and more.
