Yeah I'd been looking at the price of Coffee Mate in a few places:

    Tesco: £3.45 for 325g = £1.06 per 100g
    Sainsburys: £3.50 per 325g = £1.08 per 100g
    Iceland: £4.85 for 550g = £0.88 per 100g
    Farm Foods: £5.50 for 800g = £0.69 per 100g
Waitrose: £3.60 per 550g = £0.65 per 100g (I never thought I'd see the day Waitrose is the cheapest of the supermarkets).

The cheapest I could find it, is 2.5kg bags that seem to crop up relatively often on eBay:

    eBay: £13.54 for 2500g = £0.54 per 100g.

I haven't personally purchased one, so I can't personally vouch for it and obviously 2.5kg is a big amount in one go!

Still £3.60 for 550g at Waitrose. It's always worth keeping an eye on prices on Amazon as they can vary up and down over short periods of time but they are high at present - is there a shortage? I bought an 800g tub 2 months ago for £5.50 next time I looked it was £9 something and now it's £14.90. Luckily that and the one I found more recently lurking at the back of a kitchen cupboard will last me a long time.
  • Just to add - my husband is addicted to Coffee Mate as well!  I refused to pay the extortionate price of Coffee Mate - supermarkets seem to have stopped doing their own cheaper makes.  However, like others on here I found a cheaper alternative at Home Bargains.  Although they don't always have it in.

Off to France next week.  You would think they would do a "Coffee Mate" type product.  But they don't.  Mind you, knowing how the French are with their coffee they would probably regard it as heresy.
  • I posted on this thread that I buy it from our local Quality Save. Yesterday I found out that the shop is being closed down. Apparently it is not a big enough store to operate under the Home Bargains label. I bought the last 3 jars but from next week will have to start trailing to Home Bargains and hope they have it in stock more often.
