Have you spoken to the bereavement department of the supplier ?
I had a similar situation with BT when my father passed away.
I stood my ground & told them it was a bit callous charging for a cancellation of a contract due to death.
They cancelled the contract at no charge.

Its not clear if you ported a phone number from Supanet to BT?0

When BT installed the fibre optic cable, they will have disconnected and removed the copper cable. Doing so must have necessitated some contact with supanet (presumably by Openreach) that they would no longer be able to provide a service as the means of doing so would no longer exist. Could that be construed as a “similar mechanism” to a line switch?Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0
