CP Plus/GroupNexus PCN - Please Help

Hi there

Would really appreciate any help with my issue as I am really unsure what to do.
I have read through the guidance but still unsure, so any help would be amazing.

Parked in a retail park, which I thought was 5 hours free parking. Turns out on the sign that the parking changes at 9pm - 5hours free parking 6.30-9pm then 1hour free parking 9-10.30pm with no return. No parking machines. There are many signs saying this however the writing is extremely small. It feels like they change the stay allowance just so people get caught and they can issue these fines.

Anyway, I was in my car with a friend from 8-10.30. Spent money in the local Mcdonalds but thats it.
Received a PCR from CP Plus Ltd to say a fine had been sent on 05/07/23 with 14 days with reduced fee, I hadnt paid the fine so I was expected to pay the full amount. I never received a letter prior to this PCR so I appealed the fine by saying this, as well as what I thought was the parking restrictions, but I was wrong with the parking restrictions information unfortunately. Group Nexus responded to my appeal to say they reject the circumstance based on that but as a gesture of goodwill, the charge has reduced to 60 from 100. I still really dont want to pay this fine, as it feels extremely unfair. As I have already made an appeal to them, what should I do next?

They included the time, date and photos of my car entering and leaving the car park as well as operating in accordance with BPA code of practice, though only a small note about data protection.

Any help would be appreciated so much, thank you

Ignore them, if the landowner won't cancel.  Obviously landowner complaint about the unclear terms is PLAN A in the NEWBIES thread.

Then if a court claim arrives from DCBLegal next year you just defend and they'll give up.

I spoke to the customer services of the retail park - theyve given me the email address for head office but theyve said that they will not be able to overturn the pcn, that only CP+ or GN will be able to decide on it.

Is that right? Is it still worth contacting the head office customer services?

Just do it, as the Successful Complaints thread shows.  It's the first hyperlink in the NEWBIES FAQS thread.

That's because there isn't one. Just use your common sense to write a complaint to the landlord.

No there isn't. You write each complaint to suit (and don't ask rubbishy ChatGPT).
