    If you have several other cards, you could close it. But there's rarely any need.

    Another question, is it best to close the credit card account with the empty credit card that has a £9000 limit or is it better to have unused credit show on my credit search? 
    It is better to leave open.

     1) they may give you an offer in the future once it's is a unused card

    2) It will reduce your overall utilisation percentage which a plus sign in the credit scoring industry

    3) if you have credit card debt then having unused credit shows you are not desperate another plus sign in the scoring industry
