Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It seems to be a better start today - yesterday was a dreadful day, the rain was torrential at times.
I visited my friend then went to a local shopping centre to look at the clothes sales. I bought a pair of cotton trousers in Sains, and 2 pr of jogging trousers for the winter in B?n Marche.
I was glad to get home, but it was nice to have a look round.
SuffolkSue hope you managed to Scrabble yesterday.
Florence, hope your parcel turns up soon.
Sorry to hear the doggy is still not well Rosy.
Ruby, your house sounds lovely.
Sorry to read that your Dh is not doing so well Marie.
Enjoy your trip to Wales Taff.
I know I've missed people, sorry, it's just there seems to be so much going on!
Hope everyone has a good day , take care folks.

Morning All
Dry and bright this morning but rain due later. May do a wash load when I get home if the weather has cleared up.
Work yesterday was ok, nice to see everyone but there's a lot to do! I felt a bit shell shocked when I got home so sat in the glorious sunshine and read for a while. Dinner involved courgette again!
I have complete brain block this morning so can't remember anyone's news! I will wish you all well and hope you enjoy today. Take care. XX13 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. The sky is a wonderful shade of blue and the sun is shining. What a treat after the gloominess of recent days. I think we are forecast a few nice days now before the rain returns at the end of the week.
I have a few jobs earmarked for this morning but if the sun keeps shining I may have the rare treat of sitting outside reading. Not much of that has been happening since the lovely June we had.
SCARLET well done on the sale stuff. I might have to poke my nose in BM at some point as I could do with new joggers to put away for winter house wear. ROSY I hope the vet can sort poor Lyla out. Our pets are such a worry when they are ill. MARIE I hope we have better news of your DH soon. NRA I hope it all went to plan yesterday. COXY how is your DDad going on with his tests?
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning all. Up early for window guy, last visit, some glass needs changing. After that I have a mountain of dishes to clean after Sundays dinner which we polished off yesterday, and various bits from the making of crumbles. The blackberries were out in force, it didn't take me long to fill a container, had enough for one big, three medium crumbles and a small bag in the freezer. There's so much tidying, sorting and organising to do over the next few weeks I'm beginning to wish I could run away. Funny when I was working it all got done anyway. I've got some cucumbers to take ot my cousin too, she loves them and some tomatoes are finally ripening, the bigger ones, so I may even have some at the weekend. Courgettes and tromboncinos are coming thick and fast, I never learn, I planted two of each and they're all producing. I haven't the heart to destroy any of them so I have to surprise unwary passers by and foist them on themcamelot, how have to started back so early? do you usually? TA, glad you're getting a bit of sun! Scarlet, I know, sometimes it's hard ot keep up with who's on holiday, whos decorating, who's feeling bleurgh...is that a good sign we are so many now?
Coxy, hope your dad is ok. dp1, glad to hear it, don't let the b*s get away with it. marie, sorry to hear about your husband, hope they can make him more comfortable. Rosy, hope your beautiful dog gets well soon. Izzy, hope youre having a party at the end of the countdown! carolbee, hows the house selling going? Take care all, including the poorlies, hope you get sun today!

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
DDad has tumours and blood in his bladder. Urologist said he would arrange surgery for end of this week and not to fly back to Cyprus as planned tomorrow. He is ignoring this advice and going back tomorrow. As you can imagine, it's been a difficult few days. DSis, BIL and the grandchildren are coming to us tonight for a farewell to Grandad. I'm doing pizzas and salad as there will be 13 of us. Stepmum and DDad are of the opinion that the urologist here is over cautious, that it's not that serious and it's a licence to print money.
Sorry to hear Sparkle and Lyla are both under the weather - hope they both make good progress soon x
Hugs to anyone in need of one.

Morning folks. There's the promise of another good day in the air. Yesterday I was very overdressed in Glasgow which had brilliant sunshine and really high temperatures. I got down early enough to get a lot of fiddly things done before meeting my friend for lunch in my favourite wee cafe. The drive home was so enjoyable, slow but lovely.Today I've got a zoom thing shortly then I've been invited to lunch by elderly neighbours in the big house. Whilst I'm there the gardener is coming to weed and clear out the dead stuff. I need her to lope the ever expanding climbing hydrangea which is threatening to cover my kitchen window. It's creeping right up the wall.Hugs to our poorlies. Happy Tuesday to all.13

Dry and bright here and set for a lovely day, I was cold in bed first thing though so autumn may be peeping round the corner. Three people coming today and we are going to go to a local Roman villa I’ve not been since I was a child so looking forward to it .
The decorator should be finished today 😃 he has done such a good job I am very pleased with it all, today he is hanging the wallpaper in the hallway I have gone for a mural of a cherry tree with birds on it, it was quite expensive so fingers crossed it goes well 🤞I can’t wait to get the curtains back up but that will have to wait till the weekend when OH has made the curtain rails.
Dinner tonight will be chicken curry with rice, dd has a day off today so she may make it. I have run the hoover round this morning and had a quick tidy.
Taff Camelot is in Scotland and there school holidays start before ours and so they go back a lot sooner x
TA and Rosy I hope your beloved pets feel better soon xx
Marie I hope there is some improvement in your DH xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all,
Coxy, so sorry to hear about your DDad, thinking of you all.
I woke up at 3am and couldn’t sleep so decided to get up and work on my budget. I needed to update the expenditure that has come from dad’s budget, I need to get a cheque from him, but every time I visit he is fast asleep, To make budgeting easier I bought one of the traditional red silver line cash books to keep notes of all monies.
Nothing planned for today, like TA I would like to sit in the garden and enjoy any sun we may get. I will also wash the blankets and get them line dried.
Take care all.

Morning all
A very brief hello from me as we are waiting for DGS to arrive and will then go out for the day.
Most things have been washed and ironed ready for Whitby at the weekend so that's a relief.
I had a poorly day yesterday; my back and shoulders were aching badly and I just didn't feel right. Hardly ate anything but that's a possible bonus! Today I'm less achey but have taken painkillers just in case.
Making some oven roasted sweet chilli salmon for tonight with peppers, courgette etc. Our home grown courgettes have hardly grown at all this year; they are short and thin so hope they taste ok.
Take care everyone.
