Euro Carparks

I was sent a fine June 2020 by Euro Carparks even though I purchased a ticket. Euro Carparks stated an invalid car registration input. I entered the car registration but the ticket issed with only part of the registration printed on the ticket. The machine was covered in what I hope was gel. (This was during the first lockdown.) I provided evidence of the ticket, which corresponded with the exact time and date on the fine notice. This was a 65p ticket I paid £1 for.
To date after long silences from Euro Carparks I am receiving threatening demands for £170. I am determined to argue that the machine was at fault as it should not have been able to issue the ticket without a full registration plate input.
Tried POPLA to no avail. Seems to me that this parking companies are a law to themselves. The fact I can evidence beyond reasonable doubt that I paid may work if this goes to court in my plan. I see a lot of similar cases stated here.

What does the newbies thread on here tell you about the ridiculous demands of debt recovery idiots? When you find it it will also tell you it's not a "fine"!2

This was not a fine.
Plan A is always a complaint to the landowner and your MP.
Euro Car Parks are not currently litigious, although they have six years from the date of the alleged event if they later decide to issue a claim.
If you tried Plan A, and have appealed to PoPLA, then you are in ignore mode unless you get a letter before/of claim or a real court claim.

I recieved another letter today from a 'solicitor' stating they may take me to County Court. It was obviously computer generated and sent twice. 6 years is a long time indeed. I am in 'ignore' mode at the moment until they issue me with a court date. The latest letter states my credit rating is at threat as well as a lot of other 'bully' talk. I still posses the original parking ticket marked clearly as Euro Carparks with an issue number. The MP route is one I will take up as well as the landowner. Thanks for the comments.0

That is unwise.Pearsona1 said:I am in 'ignore' mode at the moment until they issue me with a court date.
If you get a Letter of Claim - as described in the second post of the NEWBIES thread - you need to respond to that.
If you get a County Court Claim, you need to respond to that.
That, and lots of other stuff, must be responded to before you get a court date.2 -
If you are close to the magic 6 year cut off for a claim, the the LAST thing you should do is ignore! Which solicitor?Pearsona1 said:I recieved another letter today from a 'solicitor' stating they may take me to County Court.
