UKPC - Scotland “Notice to Hirer” - Help Please

Hi
I received an email and a copy of a PCN from the company who I lease my car from. They advised that they were “transferring the liability”.
I have now received the PCN through the post from UKPC as “Notice toHirer”.
I have been unsuccessful in complaining to store management or finding out how to contact the landowner of the retail park. I am confused if I appeal this or just ignore? I am anxious that if I ignore that UKPC may go back to the lease company in the future and ask them to pay a higher sum.
Any advice is appreciated.

I am anxious that if I ignore that UKPC may go back to the lease company in the future and ask them to pay a higher sum. They can't do that if there's been a formal transfer of liability to you, and you've received the NtH. As you're in Scotland, just ignore it.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

But I would suggest one reply that says:
yes I was the hirer. The driver win't be named and as this is Scotland you can't pursue hirers*. Get lost and don't send the case to debt collectors which will be harassment, a criminal offence in Scotland.* this is going to change in 2024 for new PCNs.
A favour please:
Don't suppose you can get any good car park photos from your area, I'm building up quite a collection but only one person has posted pics from Scotland:

Photos please! From friends & family too!
... we sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the private parking draft Impact Assessment by mid-September?
Did you see that they did announce something 2 weeks ago and we are wanting to respond?Let me do a single submission containing YOUR photo evidence please... You want to help us change the law?
It's a final push on a law already passed, to cap the £PCN levels and ban the fake DRA fees. The Government has a Call for Evidence open right now.
IT APPLIES TO SCOTLAND TOO.
We are wanting photos of unmanaged car parks, Hospital car park signs near you that show £50 or £60 as the deterrent, and Aldi, Asda, Tesco or Sainsburys £70 signs please.
All discussed here:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6463361/dluhc-private-parking-code-government-launches-call-for-evidence-discussion-thread/p6
We need photo evidence of low or no deterrent car parks near you, please!
Think of this when out for a walk or driving to any business, retail (or even an area of 'no parking' spaces) that is 'unmanaged' or has PCN signs of £70 or lower.
NOT £100, NOT £90 or £80. Just signs that are less - or places with no PPC. You will see examples of what to post, in the latest pages of that thread.
Thankyou!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the reassurance, I didn’t want the potential amount escalating. This is my first ticket, I presume I will receive an array of threatening letters, do you know how long they normally send these out?

Years...but not so likely if you do what I suggest.
Photos for evidence are needed for 4 more weeks please then I'll do my submission to Government. They will read it because I'm on the Steering Group.
More Scotland (and London) pics needed!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
