Parking Eye overstay Eltham Sainsburys

My wife purchased a ticket at the machine using cash (which we no longer have) so unable to verify how long the ticket was for but she is sure it was for 1 hour and 30 mins. She used the other half of the ticket to reclaim the money from the food shop and I have evidence via bank statement that we shopped in Sainsburys on that date.
I believe they have only recently moved to an ANPR sytem as there used to be a parking attendant that checked the tickets and I was waiting in the car the entire time with our baby whilst my wife was doing the shopping.
Should I be writing to Sainsburys CEO/Customer services first or should I start the appeals process now using the template on the newbies thread (or should I do both).
Many thanks

Definitely make a fuss in-store and insist on speaking to the Store Manager. DO NOT give them the original PCN, obviously only a copy, if they agree to cancel it (they can, or FAILING THAT the retail park property agents can).
Are you sure it's ParkingEye not Euro Car Parks?
The retail park agents contact details are likely stated at the entrance on a welcome plinth thingy.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Im mentioning this on this thread because Parking Eyes signs fall into its trap. Its not my find but from a video by Blackbelt Barrister on You Tube.
It may be something that could be added to the Newbies thread for signs with only PO Box addresses. It is legislation and must be applied by Judges if used in defences.
Here is the video: Parking Charge Notice RESULT!!! - YouTube The main is the permit but whats below is mentioned as wellThe Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
Making information etc available to a consumer
8. For the purposes of this Part, something is made available to a consumer only if the consumer can reasonably be expected to know how to access it.
Information to be provided before making an off-premises contract

(a)must give the consumer the information listed in Schedule 2 in a clear and comprehensible manner,
SCHEDULE 2
Information relating to distance and off-premises contracts
The information referred to in regulations 10(1) and 13(1) is (subject to the note at the end of this Schedule)—
(a)the main characteristics of the goods or services, to the extent appropriate to the medium of communication and to the goods or services;
(b)the identity of the trader (such as the trader’s trading name);
(c)the geographical address at which the trader is established and, where available, the trader’s telephone number, fax number and e-mail address, to enable the consumer to contact the trader quickly and communicate efficiently;

Looks like they have had to do a lot of this because either the top 3 paragraphs or the bottom 3 are a template, by the looks of it!
Could be wrong but the font size is different which shows they grabbed some words they wrote earlier.
