Tandem bank telephone support

On the phone to Tandem Bank support (telephone number: 0203 370 0970). 33 minutes + on hold. I realize it may be a busy period (12 pm - 1pm), but this is ridiculous. 

This the only time frame I have free to call them. Their support is only open 9am to 5pm on weekdays (excluding bank holidays).

I'm unable to login to the Tandem App for any support that way (not receiving SMS messages so cannot access the App - I've contacted my mobile operator and they've passed the case to second line support for further investigation). I need to ask Tandem my balance and possibly transfer out money. Looking to change the phone number until mobile operator sorts out the sms receiving.

yesterday around 4pm tried phoning again. Was on hold for 25 minutes, no response.

Emailed support. I don't beleive everything on trustpilot but someone has said email suport takes days to respond. So not holding my breath on that.

Then last night, suddenly phone started receviing sms messages. A flood of messages were coming through. I quickly tried logging in to Tandem App. Of course as I had tried to login before, the OTP messages from before kept coming through for about 5 minutes. Had to wait for the last one as that is the one that is accepted.

Quickly, did a transfer out of most of the money, especially due to the support issues. Shame, with bonus I was receiving 5% interest for instant access saver. Chip is 4.51% and Kroo is 4.35%. I believe the support is more stable and efficient.

This morning withdrew the reaminder of the money from Tandem. it never asked me for OTP- lucky because I'm not receving SMS again!).
