Legal cover insurance claim whilst cycling - do I need to declare it when renewing car insurance?

My husband was hit by a car (turning into him, sending him flying) on his bicycle some months back, driver admitted fault and it was a nasty accident. He pursued a claim under the legal expenses cover we have with our car insurance, since like most cyclists he also drives. However now I (being the one who organises things) am looking at renewing the car insurance and I don't know whether I need to list it as an accident claim on the motor insurance when renewing, and if so how as the forms don't allow for being the cyclist who was hit by a car (ie our car wasn't being driven at all). It hasn't yet all been settled & he's having physio for his injuries. It's the weekend & insurance companies/comparison sites don't seem to want to interact with customers at the weekend (or at all in the case of Comparethemarket). I almost feel like just staying with the company we're already with as they obviously know the details (their renewal quote remains one of the lowest, but not the lowest, and we usually switch!). Do I need to declare his cycling accident & ongoing legal expenses cover claim and if so how?

Not relevant to Car Insurance.
The legal cover under the Car Insurance may have been used, but claims under that are totally separate. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.1 -

Read the question you are being asked and answer honestly. Most will ask about accidents you've had when in control of a motor vehicle and so a push bike accident doesn't have to be1
