Pl can a handyman fix a squeaking floor without removing the carpet? Thanks

    There are kits you can buy that are specially designed to snap off the screw heads below the carpet. I've never used them myself, so can't comment on how effective they are.

    Finding the joists is possible. The main issue would be to avoid going into a pipe or cable.
