BWLegal - PCN charges - final demand

Thanks. They initially asked me to pay 40 , then being abroad I missed the date. They asked me to pay 90 and then BWLegal demanding to pay 70 +60 = £130. Not sure why it is not 90 + 60. So I am assuming I will loose and court says to pay then on top of this I end up paying solicitor fee, claim fee etc. isn’t it right?Coupon-mad said:

Thanks a lot for encouragement. I have read lot of your comments and suggestions but only worry about loosing and paying more even after so much stress.Coupon-mad said:
No-one pays the added fake costs.deepax11 saidI have also read that some people got success and some not leading to pay additional cost of claim process. So not sure it is worth fighting! Please guide
These are ALWAYS worth fighting!I was late irrespective of situation and I don’t have any proof to show the child emergency. I can show only birth certificate and my wife statement but not sure how much admissible it will be.What made you wrongly assume that losing 'costs more'? Even if people lose a defended case they pay less than the claim!
I am assuming I will loose because I overstayed. Not sure if child emergency will be taken into account and how can prove that I was with baby that day.0 -
So I am assuming I will loose and court says to pay then on top of this I end up paying solicitor fee, claim fee etc. isn’t it right?Nope. No solicitors fees except a capped £50, but the added false 'damages/admin fee' will not be allowed so it cancels any increase.
Lose not 'loose' (but you won't lose).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I wish people would stop trying to convince themselves to pay up by always being so negative2

Thanks. I will fight them. Can your please suggest me any draft document to defend myself point by point or can I defend myself just by saying in plain English?Coupon-mad said:So I am assuming I will loose and court says to pay then on top of this I end up paying solicitor fee, claim fee etc. isn’t it right?Nope. I don't need to.
The forum already has a Template Defence thread at the top of page one. It's already there and is detailed but it is in plain English.
We never link Announcement threads. They are pinned at the top of page one.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just to update on this matter. They have sent few more final warning letters until mid October and now they are silent. is there a way to know if case has been registered against my name without I am being made aware? is there any central website I can search against my name?

You would receive a court claim form. There's no way to check online.

They will send a "rent by the hour advocate".. the majority of which are hopeless .. I have seen it against BWLegal as many have.
You have the right to cross question the legal rep and you do this by creating your own crib sheet which includes everything you have been told on here
A Judge will appreciate your assistance
