Dart charge question

I’m purchasing a car that is being delivered to me and it is being transported on the back of a truck. They have to come over the Dartford Crossing and I’m trying to find out if my car (on the back of the truck on the flat bed) will need to pay the dart charge, or if only the truck has to pay the crossing fee.

Google is failing to answer my question. Does anyone know if I’ll need to log on and pay the charge for my car which is being driven over, not driving over lol. ??

Only the truck pays the fee. Think of it like this: if your new vehicle was delivered in the back of an enclosed van, would you have a similar worry? Or what about a car transporter, with seven or eight cars on board?

Just checking, thank you for letting me know. I would be so upset to have assumed and I turned out to be wrong, as who can afford a fine these days 😞

My balance has changed I. My dart account but I am unable to actually open the page that shows crossings made. I suspect that might be because things are finally being updated crossing wise .

I can log in and see crossings but nothing since the upgrade. The 4 crossings I've made since then are nowhere to be seen including ones made this weekend, well after any issues were meant to be fixed. Previously the crossings appeared in real time.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

This might be of some or no interest to anybody but I read this morning that because of the new Silvertown tunnel, TFL will start charging a fee to use the Blackwall tunnel.

As the new Silvertown tunnel will be fee based and it's so close to the Blackwall, TFL have decided there will be a fee on both to stop traffic favouring one over the other and causing further congestion.

I guess next up for a fee is the Rotherhithe tunnel as some of the traffic that would have used the Blackwall/Silvertown tunnel will divert to that one, which to be honest is already a traffic hotspot (deadspot?) due to it's size. Then what, Tower Bridge?

I think I’m right in saying that all the other crossings further into London go into the Ulez zone as the m25 stays outside the zone. If all the tunnels are charged then that results in more traffic on the Dartford crossing , especially as the Woolwich ferry is going out of service soon for upgrading.

Just checked my Dart account again, my balance hasn’t changed and I still can’t open the bit that shows my crossings .
