Royal Mail Tracked 48

I sent some packages using Tracked 48. The Royal Mail web page says that one of the benefits is "SMS or email notifications to recipients" and "photo on delivery".
Tracking says the items have been delivered but no-one got any messages or emails saying they were coming and no photos were taken.
Anyone else found this? Does the Tracked 48 SMS/Email notification / delivery photo usually work?

This might be a really silly question, but did you put the recipients' details in?
I routinely get e-mails, and I have had texts in the past when retailers ask for my mobile number to put it in.
It's also possible there's a glitch and it's just not working properly for whatever reason, if you did put their details in.0 -
Hi Spoonie_Turtle.Yes, definitely put SMS and email addresses in.Just to to be clear - the packages are trackable using the Royal Mail website, it's just the recipient's SMS and Email's that didn't happen.I know the Royal Mail IT system is prone to glitches, so it could be just that.

Last time I used the service a couple of months ago, the recipient definitely got an e-mail with the tracking info to say it was on the way, and I got a photo of the parcel at the delivery point, so it sounds like a glitch to me.1

Yep definitely can say email is working - i usually put my own spam/burner email address in when I sell on ebay as they dont provide customer emails so I get a message saying it's been delivered. Had two this morning1
