Unable to switch new supplier

A long story about switching gas supplier and wish to seek some advice 

Moved in the property end of May, and created account with Scottish Power ( current supplier of the property ) after that wish to switch to Octopus Energy , tried several times but SP kept rejecting our switch. 

And Scottish Power mentioned our gas record is not in the National Database and they are not able to resolve it or even bill our account, they said it’s shown there is no gas supplier of my property shown in the database , but the landlord said SP is the supplier and even I have created account with SP and got a/c number.
 

I have tried to contact the Distributor Network Operator but they said they are not responsible for imrhe database. 

It’s almost three months still not able to switch the supplier and Scottish Power still no solution on my case.

Any recommendations/ experience on this Xxxx
