New tsb current account not showing in app?

Literally just set a tsb account up and have account details. Couldn’t register for internet banking with my new id and password as I’d had login details from when I very briefly had a previous account. I can log in but no account showing? So either there’s an issue and I’d need to contact TSB or I’m probably jumping the gun and should and wait a few days as my account may not be up and running as I’ve literally just set it up? Can anyone advise?

You'll be sent a new ID in the post. Set it up and there's a possibility it'll then be merged in to your existing profile. More likely you'll need to call to get your profiles merged.

This is how it is with TSB, and has been since their botched separation from Lloyds' IT back in 2018. It's a terrible UX but it has some advantages at times...

Mine showed in my old profile after a few days. So by the time the pass code for the new Internet banking came it was redundant as set up on old.

In my experience, TSB are pretty bad at merging online banking profiles. I have 3 profiles from opening current accounts at various times, 2 of which are still technically active but have no accounts associated with them. Sometimes the new profiles will get merged, and sometimes they don't. I'd wait a bit and see what happens.

I've read in the past that some people have had success getting profiles merged by making a complaint and asking for it to be manually corrected, but I've never really been bothered enough to try.
