Hi, is there a way as retails investor (not UHNW) to invest directly into top tier PE funds? Do Private banks manage to get access which I doubt?

Top tier would be a Blackstone, for instance.

thanks

Can you not just buy shares in Blackstone? Looks like you can on HL platform (and probably all others)

That’s day and night. There are a lot of expenses, fees etc, so the company’s earnings and potential share price does not reflect the funds performance.

    Basically no by definition.
If you did invest in a private equity fund you would be considered a professional investor.

Have you tried asking your private bank?

Not necessarily, for instance there are investment trusts that invest in this space.

OP: I might be mistaken but from other threads I have the feeling that you only have a vague idea that this is where you think good money is to be made but aren't really sure what you want or how to get it: what are you really looking for?

Does it have to be "directly"? very easy ways to invest in those sorts of funds indirectly such as via one of the many PE investment trusts such as PIN, Graphite PE etc
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
