Dinner last night was spag bol.  Tonight will be egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, beans.

Last day at work this week.

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.

It's cloudy here, hope it stays dry.

Yesterday was warmish, I got some washing dry, which is always a good thing.

Glad you and camelot had a good meet up Gers.

Rosy that pic of Lyla is nice, she's a big girl isn't she!

Peony, it can be difficult with aged parent, you're always "on call".

Glad you are reducing the Rude One's time with you Ruby, they did sound a bit of a handful.

TA, I have a phantom messer upper of the freezer as well, I gave up on the inventory because I didn't keep it up to date as to which drawer I'd put things in, so am now back to raking about.

Sorry to hear you're not sleeping well Nanny, sometimes the night seems endless when you can't sleep.

I'm meeting dil's mum in Newcastle today for a look round the shops, that's all that's planned.

Marie, sorry to hear that your Dh is not doing very well, thinking of you.

Also thinking of other poorly ones, Coxy's dad, and anyone else who is not too well.

Rosy, Lyla is beautiful, so glad to hear she is better now.

Thank you for the kind comments, it means a lot.  I was feeling a bit wobbly yesterday both physically and mentally so I had a mental health day of sitting in the garden with my book, Rhonda Hetzel’s Down to Earth which I find grounding.  Felt much better after a few hours.

I was up at 5 this morning with my back pain so have sat with the heated back pad on.  I was working on a budget, both short term and long term, as lately I have let everything run away from me, and I was stress/comfort buying from Amazon.  So this August is a low spend, with a no spend on non essentials such as books, stationery etc.  So far, I am doing ok with it.

Off to wipe down the kitchen worktops.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. As promised by the weatherman we have a beautiful start to our one day heatwave! 

I managed to get a bit of weeding done at the front yesterday but, as always, the spirit was willing but the legs were not. I have been saying it for a few years now but I really must get something done with it to make life easier. Definitely next Spring before the weed season starts!! 

I have the excitement of the kitchen and bathroom clean this morning then later this afternoon Sparkle has an appointment at the vets.  Between times I might manage a little sit out in the back garden reading. Not much of that has been happening this summer.

Have a lovely day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Thinking especially of MR MEANMARIE and COXY'S DD. Take care all and be safe xx

The sun is out and it looks like being a lovely day.

It was also a lovely day yesterday and I sat out with my daughter and a glass of wine chatting.

Morning all

Bright and beautiful day here before the rain comes back tomorrow and the weekend, off to collect Rob today and take him to work, he should be in the cafe today (my old cafe)  but they had a fire over the weekend, a fridge gas canister had a small hairline crack in it and the fly zapper went off and the spark caused a small explosion 😳  it caused quite a mess in there so it is closed for now till they can get it all repaired.

The decorator is going great guns, he said he should have finished by tomorrow but he has an appointment so it will be Monday instead, I am amazed at how much is done each day when I get home.

DD is back from Alton Towers later this evening, the pups will be pleased to see her as will I 😃

Rosy Lyla is beautiful I would like to kiss her big old head 😍

Coxy I hope your dad is ok xx

Thanks for the good wishes for DDad. The CT scan was okay, nothing happening today but seeing the urologist tomorrow for the camera.....!!!

Dinner tonight is SC chilli con carne with rice. I've got a washload just finishing to that can go on the line today as it's a bright sunny day (so far....). I've also been for a run this morning so my step count is looking healthy already which is just as well as I'm WFH today and barely move!

Morning.  The weather forecast promises a fine day, so far the outside hasn't caught up with it.  I doubt there will be blazing sunshine, just a warm dry day.

On that promise I have a white washing load in the machine chugging away. I changed the bed linen last night.  My visit to the neighbour was short and sweet though a tad odd - people are funny!

This morning I'm going up the road for some shopping, nothing exciting at all. 

Marie - sorry to hear about your DH, my fingers are crossed for him.

Morning All

Overcast this morning but incredibly warm, the windows are all open but there's no breeze at all. Yesterday's washing was dry in no time and has all been put away.

Haircut for me this morning but must go for petrol first, the car is running on fumes! The allotment will probably have more courgettes so will go and have a look. There should be some green beans too.

Pleased your DDad's CT scan was ok Coxy.
What a beautiful gentle looking dog Lyla is Rosy, glad she's over her illness.
Good to hear your relaxing day has had a positive effect Peony.

The little one and I had a day out yesterday, picnic on the beach and she got to go for a ride on the little train that goes about Lomond Shores along with quite a few goes on an inflateable slide, I wasn't sure if she would go down as it's quite high but she loved it. That's the last I'll have her this holiday as we all go back next week.

My lovely neighbour put the blinds back up in the living room last night so just the curtain pole to go up when it arrives.

had a quick   tour of Wiltshire! SW some properties, one was a hoarders house, grim. It has decided us that our original wish town is the right one, now to sell and find the right place.

Morning all, &thanks nmlc- beautiful it is too. I want to pop into town to see my veg man on the market- I was going to order a delivery but left it too late, so I'll have to get out the trolley.It's a bit too far to carry stuff since our council/powers that be thought it would be a good idea to move the bus station next to the market to the other side of town ! Although DH may be prevailed upon to give me a lift, he's at home pricing a job today.

RR hope noone was working at the time of the explosion, scary. I'll deliver the kiss to Ly1a on your behalf , she does get quite a few!

May be on call to watch the DGC for DS2, not heard from him yet, or he might take the day off.
