Court General Form of Judgment (UKPC)

Hi everyone,

I have followed the advice on this forum and have been working through the steps to defend myself against UK Parking Control.

I sent in my questionnaire a few months ago so was now expecting a court date. This afternoon whilst at work I got a phone call from the parking company’s solicitors asking if I would like to settle, I told them I did nothing wrong so the call was cut short.

When I got home the attached letter from the court was waiting for me giving me less than 5 days to respond. I have no idea what it means. Could anyone provide some advice please?

That Notice is instructing the Claimant to file greater details of their Claim.

You do not 'have 5 days to respond'.
No action is required by you.
You are the Defendant, aren't you?
  • My understanding was that a particulars of claim was my first defence I sent in using the template fron MSE. Are they saying they want another copy from me.
  • Wait, I just realised its for the claimant, thats not me!! Phew.

The Particulars of Claim are what you will find in the Particulars of Claim box on your County Court Claim Form.
It is the Claimant's job to complete the Particulars of Claim box on the Claim Form.

That Notice you have received is a copy of a Notice addressed to the Claimant.

    You are the Defendant.
There is nothing on that Notice requiring the Defendant to do anything, is there?

That Notice you have shown us is simply ordering the Claimant to better specify their Claim.

This is great stuff from a clued up Judge.

Luton or Southampton maybe? Which court?

Come back & show us the detailed Particulars of Claim that they will now send you.

It WILL be worth you updating your defence because the Template Defence has been edited last week due to the DLUHC's announcement.

    Read on...

While your case is quiet ... we need evidence photos please!  From friends & family too.

We sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the private parking draft Impact Assessment by mid-September?

Or let me do a submission containing YOUR photo evidence please...

You want to help us change the law?

To be clear, we are nearly there; it's not a petition or some weak campaign, it's a final push on a law already passed, to cap the £PCN levels and ban the fake DRA fees.

The Government has a Call for Evidence open right now.

We are wanting photos of unmanaged car parks, Hospital car park signs near you that show £50 or £60 as the deterrent, and Aldi, Asda, Tesco or Sainsburys £70 signs please.

    All discussed here:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6463361/dluhc-private-parking-code-government-launches-call-for-evidence-discussion-thread/p6

We need photo evidence of low or no deterrent car parks near you, please!

    NOT £100, NOT £90 or £80.

Just signs that are less - or places with no PPC.

    Thankyou!
