  • Yeah she originally agree to the trip said if was ok no problem we booked and then it was oh i never said 100%?
She confirmed the other day he is not going because he has not been great at nursery very nervous.
Just worked it out this morning its £500 gone cant change it but my 28 year old son is breaking his heart and i am having a very hard time dealing with it.
The real loser is the child he will be 3 and a half and will miss out on a great time and adventure.
  • So sorry to read what has happened. Hopefully once he gets a bit older mum will be a bit more confident in letting you have a holiday with your grandson. You have the hardest role in the "packing order" as grandparents on dad's side. Just wanted to say I feel for you in this situation, and hopefully it will get better with time.

My other half had a 2 year old daughter with his ex when I met him, and I saw similar upset and heartbreak as plans would be changed by the mum, and his feelings not taken into consideration. Keep at it, my other half has a great relationship with the now 21 year old daughter, and she equally loves her paternal grandparents.
