Removing wallpaper paste before painting

Ok so I'm almost done sanding, unfortunately had an awful cold all week so been doing bits here and there but even with a dust mask on it's been murder on my throat but been doing some crack repairs, filling dents and dings and sanding the orange peel down.Down the corner of each side of the wallpaper wall there is a thin crack in the paint which i suspect is where he ran his Stanley knife down the wallpaper to trim it, but just a guess, I've sanded up to it, I'm now planning to paint on some Zinsser peel stop into the crack and then use some geocel painters mate caulk just to smooth it off. My walls and ceilings are going to be the same dark grey colour so it will all blend in but just want it to look neater than it doesn't now, and while I can fill holes etc I don't think I can get away with doing full length wall bits and im crap at corners.I've also stripped out the silicon round the window because learned my lesson on other rooms that the paint won't stick to it, and will use caulk over that before painting then sill and window
some awful black paint behind where the rad was, the grey paint on top of that just peels off it1 -
Almost always a much bigger task than anticipated, but you'll ultimately have the reward.
You'll love looking back on the B and A photos.
