Still haven't quite got the measure of him yet but no alarms ringing as yet!Hope everyone has a good day today. Surprising how a sunny day can put a smile on your face.Take care all x14

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.Glad your new boss is ok Chrisca, it makes such a difference. After all, you spend a lot of your life at work. And you are right, a bit of sunshine is a mood lifter - though the sun has just disappeared here, it was sunny a few minutes ago!Yesterday was an ok day, I got some towels dry outside. I think that was the high spot of my day, though I'm easily pleased.Nothing much planned for today, I'll see how I feel later.Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.14

Morning All
Like you Scarlet, it was sunny earlier but there seems to be more cloud appearing by the minute. Hope it stays dry as I've a white wash in.
Lovely meet up with Gers yesterday, hope it's not too long until we catch up again. The drive was really good, especially as the traffic lights at the Rest and Be Thankful have gone. I spent the rest of the day in the garden so that's all tidy and weed free. It was lovely to see and hear so many bees doing their stuff. The brown bin is almost full, thankfully it gets emptied tomorrow.
Good to hear you are on the road to recovery JackieO.
Great to hear from you Marie.
How's your Dad Coxy?
Glad your new boss seems ok Chrisca.
I have the little one today, I was going to take her to the beach but she was there on Monday so we'll find a different park and test the swings!
Have a happy Wednesday, take care. XX14 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. We currently have sunshine too, will see how long that lasts. Yesterday was a day of intermittent cloud and sunny spells but the blooming wind was back and made it feel a bit nippy. Looks like it's moved elsewhere this morning.
The promise of weeding the front yesterday didn't last long, the strong wind put me off. I will try again today! I did a survey of all the pots at the back and so many plants are past their best already thanks first to the June heatwave and then July with the battering rain.
Not much else is planned other than a freezer tidy and sort out. The phantom messer upper has been at it again!
COXY I hope DD's hospital visit wasn't too worrying. ROSY it was good to hear Lyla was back to her usual self yesterday. ((HUGS)) to all in need of them and take care all and be safe xx

Morning all,
It’s still wet and dreary here, but due to be nice tomorrow.
Had a very fitful night, so feel wrung out. Due to stress of trying to cope with two 90 year old parents whose health seems to deteriorate weekly. Constantly, bouncing from one to another with an issue.Nice thing: I am meeting a friend for lunch at a garden centre, they do very nice food, and I enjoy looking at all the plants and pretty bits and pieces. I am just looking today though, as I am on a low spend month.
Depending if I am called upon, I hope to rest and try to relax when I get back home this afternoon … I do need to wipe the WM seal as it seems to whiff to me, DH can’t smell it, but yesterday all I could smell was stale cabbage.
take care all.

Morning all
Bright and sunny here which is lovely and meant to be like this tomorrow too, I am off to collect Rob this morning and take him to work he is in the horticulture department today which he always enjoys.
After about six months of waiting it has finally be signed off that Rob can join me on my shared lives days, so I will now have him Mon / Tues with SL and then Wed / Thursday as a private client I am so pleased it gets him out of the house a bit more and gives mum a break, it has meant that I have had to give notice to the rude one on a Tuesday but I am not unhappy about that, I will still have her on Monday but two days it getting a bit much, hopefully this will start in about a month 😃
Dinner tonight will be bacon sausage egg and chips, dd is still away till tomorrow so just OH and I here, she is having a great time but is exhausted and can’t wait to be home.
Rosy I meant to say I am so glad that big dog is ok now xxx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
We have sun here today and it's meant to last all day, so DS2's uniform will be line dried - hurrah! DDad had an urgent blood test yesterday and is having an urgent CT scan this afternoon. Another procedure on Friday with a camera up the front bits (!!) but needs must. He remains convinced we are worrying about nothing!
Dinner tonight is an easy sausages, chips and baked beans - mine will be LM veggie variety to stick with my SW plan
Glad your new boss is nice @Chrisca50 - makes the world of difference.
My pots are looking worse for wear too @TravellingAbuela
Glad you enjoyed your meet up @Gers and @camelot1001 x
Hugs to all the poorlies and those in need of one.

Morning folks.Yesterday's rainy start didn't dampen my trip down to meet Camelot, I really enjoyed catching up along with my bacon and egg roll. The weather improved in the afternoon so I did a bit of unproductive wandering in my garden. I packed up the jacket to return it and sorted out the exchange. The dishwasher did it's thing so I put everything away. Exciting, eh? 😀
This afternoon I'm going to visit the neighbour who kindly took time to talk to my German visitor the other day, apparently the topic of discussion was the effects of the Ice Age on Scotland. Anyway, I'm taking him up the promised 'payment' of a dram or two. I'm hoping that we can sit outside for it.There's some lovely news here already this morning. Sorry that life isn't too wonderful Peony.Happy Wednesday to all.11 -
Morning everyone
Hopefully the sun might pop out this afternoon - I might take little one down to the beach. My garden is now weed free( for now) both front and back - I ended up pottering out the back till nearly 8pm.
My painter made a bit of progress yesterday and will do the living room today. Next time I would get someone I don't know in to do a job as he wants to chat too much - though I am getting a discount it's not really cheaper if it takes him longer!
I'll pop down to mam and dads this morning for a cuppa.
Redruby that's god news - Rob sounds lovely - you really don't want moany clients sharing your day. I think it's a lovely concept and one I had never heard of until you started doing it.
Right I'm going to get sorted. Hope everyone has a good day x10
