0 not O

Hello,
I have a couple of problems from stupid mistakes.
1) My dad had a charge notice from apcoa for dropping me off at Heathrow. I filled in the drop off form for him using blue badge discount for free drop off. As he’s not tech savvy. Somehow I put his number plate ending in O as 0.
I appealed for him saying it isn't a breach because 0 and O are interchangeable (given that O doesn't actually exist, but the numeric 0 could easily be a O) no difference on VRNs between 0 and O.
2) and as a possible side issue I have just read in T&Cs that the blue badge holder must be the one be dropped off, I didn’t know this before hand and I don’t know if it will effect the above.
I’m feeling pretty bad for getting him stress for my mistakes for helping me out. With 2) considered, should I just pay off the £40 now?

1. no one with any common sense pays APCOA
2. you should have come here first!!!, then you would have won automatically easy win
3. if your appeal is lost just tell him to ignore any more letters (APCOA dont do court)4 -
Perhaps it needs teaching in school or as part of the driving licence application that you never, ever, identify who the driver was when dealing with a speculative invoice from an unregulated private parking company. At least not until you have educated yourself a bit more on civil law.2

You can't lose. They have to cancel a single digit error. Of course you don't pay. Wait for the letter or email confirming it's cancelled.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It will not be a moment too soon when this new PPCoP becomes law and scammers such as this are put in their place.0 -
Blue badge t&cs don't apply on private land.
