Good news re warranty. And that sounds like a plan.I'd still email W-B now, tho', so you are 'informed' before the service takes place.

Any advanced "smarts" such as learning algorithms and fancy scheduling may be reliant on a remote server (such as Nest & Hive).
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
I've never used it, I will investigate. Thank you.FreeBear said:busybee100 said: This has made me think I should clear the program when I turn the heating of for Summer. That might well be a solution, but it won't be a cure. Since it's under warranty, I think BB should do the obvious thing and check its operation with WB themselves.FreeBear said:If your timer (programmable thermostat) has a holiday mode, just select that. My Vaillant Smart controller relies on internet connection to operate, I made a mistake when picking it. When the power comes back on after a power cut (as there was for the last 3 mornings around 4am) the boiler fires up automatically, and waits for a signal from the programmable thermostat to turn it off. The thermostat takes around 5 minutes to come back on line, and even with heating off within the app means that the radiators are hot by the time it turns the boiler off again. Really stupid design!
Not only that but it also wakes our dog up, so early mornings for me. I'm hoping that after lots of power cuts this week UKPN have finally figured out the issues.1
