A Parking charge from this company has been sent to my address in my daughters name. She no longer lives here. The offence was apparently committed on the 12/2 but issued on the 2/8. The ticket suggests my daughter parked overnight at a train station from a Sunday morning until a Monday morning, but we’ve looked back on all our messages and can see that my daughter was elsewhere at these times and would not have had any reason to park her car for a whole day and overnight at this station. We were considering contacting the company to ask for proof of this parking fine but then I wonder should we just ignore it as the address is wrong?

Can you post a redacted picture of the letter you received? If that's a notice to keeper it's been issued about 5 months too late.1

No it hasn't been issued too late. They can issue them within 7 months, but it will be incapable of holding the registered keeper liable.
100% winnable on appeal, if done right.
@jacquirg
The issue with the address is your daughters fault I'm afraid.
She hasn't updated her logbook address online with the DVLA - you must tell her to do it NOW because that's a legal requirement. A real offence!
ANYWAY, to get this scam PCN 'monkey' off her back (because if she doesn't they'll sue):
Tell your DD to appeal online as registered keeper GIVING YOUR ADDRESS BUT NOT SAYING WHO WAS DRIVING EVEN IF THEY ASK.
Use these words as the keeper's appeal:
The ticket suggests that a driver parked overnight at a train station from a Sunday morning until a Monday morning. I was elsewhere at these times and no driver would have had any reason to park for a whole day and overnight at this station.
No driver details will be given. Please do NOT try the usual trick of asking for driver details in order to get around the fact your NTK does not comply with POFA. As there is no keeper liability then liability cannot flow from the driver to the keeper and thus is an auto win @ POPLA. Please therefore cancel the notice or issue a POPLA code where you will lose or give up.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry, that's what I meant. No way to hold keeper liable and no requirement for the keeper to name the driver, so in essence, too late for it to be of any use for Civil Enforcement.1

But the keeper must respond. Easily killed off!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
