Problem with Halifax Clarity Card?

I've used my Clarity card for many years both in person and online for foreign transactions without incident but recently they've declined a transaction I've made many times before and as they refuse to fix it, I'm in need of an alternative?
(I pay for an online service priced in US$ and every time my card expires, I have to supply updated details so I can be charged at renewal time. The supplier attempts to authorise US$1.00 to check the card but this is declined because of a new Halifax anti-fraud policy of declining anything less than one euro and the dollar is currently less than a euro)
So, I'm after a card that is practical to use online for US$?
Thanks

I assume you are wanting to avoid foreign currency charges that could apply. If you are happy with a debit card Chase would a good option, as would First Direct if you wanted a linked saver and interest free overdraft. If you want a credit card Barclaycard rewards would do the job of the Clarity and give .25% cashback.0

You're unlikely to hear of exact authorisation limits for obvious reasons(My username is not related to my real name)0 -

In person (i.e. contactless / Chip & Pin) will be different.

It must be an online only check. I was at a hotel in Brisbane in June and they did a 1AUD (about 55p) authorisation to check my (Clarity) card was valid and there was no issue.0
