British Gas Peak Save Summer Sundays

I registered my interest twice in the past couple of months and received an invite to it about 3 days ago so they are still adding people to it, I'm on holiday so wont get much advantage this Sunday but will make use of it after then0

I would strongly suggest those who were accepted review the credits to their accounts. I started comparing their own usage info to the credits and on 3 dates were missing £4, 3 and 4. I have not yet checked other applicable Sundays.1

I registered for #PeakSave but heard nothing, contacted BritGas re the offer and was told they are not offering this scheme to everyone, their selection criteria are secretive and that they won't be offering it openly b/c then "they wouldn't make any money". Seriously, this is actually what the agent told me. I filed a formal complaint for discriminatory pricing and false advertising. They replied that they would do nothing about that. I have asked for a deadlock letter and will report to the Ombudsman. I don't expect much but someone ought to object to this kind of shoddy practice.
More importantly, Martin Lewis has a clear duty to investigate this kind of scheme before advising people to sign up to it and featuring it as a big banner headline item suggesting that it's an available tariff or plan which offers realistic, tangible benefits. Looks like a big empty marketing scam by BritGas and other energy providers.

I received email invite, registered for it on 26 July, received acknowledgment, but after 13 days have not had the confirmation email. Sent 3 DMs to @BritishGasHelpwhich have been ignored, very strange as in the past their social media team has responded promptly. Web chat adviser unable to tell me what the criteria for customer eligibility is. Seems to me that British Gas are promoting this scheme but then decide if they’re going to let you take part or not! After posting a public complaint finally got a reply from @BritishGasHelp and they’ve now changed my smart meter to send half hour readings which apparently will generate a confirmation email, inexcusable that I had to complain in order for this to happen. Will wait to see if email arrives before the scheme ends next month! Any similar experiences??
I've had a similar dreadful experience with these villians and their shoddy Peak Save practices. Where did you file your public complaint? Thanks
I filed a complaint with the provider b/c you have to follow the published complaint pathway in order to proceed to the Ombudsman. It takes 8 weeks and a deadlock letter to move forward to the Ombudsman.
