Bank transfer from Italy - time to go into account

Hi
I requested a refund from the Italian train company Trenitalia for two delayed train journeys. It took several months but eventually last Monday, 31st July, I received an email confirming I would be getting a refund of 130 euros and it would be transferred into my account. I originally booked the trips via a third party company, Italiarail. Trenitalia had emailed me on on the previous Friday, 28th July, asking for my IBAN and BIC number so they could process the transfer. I did this and then received the email on the Monday confirming the refund and amount. However, I still haven't received any money into my account. I have contacted them by FB messenger (its super hard to find an email address they reply to) and they said that my case was closed as they had refunded me and that times vary according to the banking circuit. Does anyone know how long it should normally take for funds to reach your account by international transfer? I am concerned something has gone wrong somewhere.
Many thanks

Not quite the same thing, but FWIW I fairly regularly send money from a UK current account to a Greek bank account, and it invariably arrives next working day.2

It can be in seconds if they use SEPA instant but otherwise it's usually next working day. That said, check that your bank account will actually accept payments in euros as not all do. If they don't, the payment will be returned and you'll likely be charged for that.0

IME Italy is the worst for delays, I wouldn't start worrying until it is 3 working days late.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
