Morning, lovely day here but it has rained during the night. I went out earlier this morning with DH to pick DGS up, he is going to a football day camp near where DS2 is working. They dropped me back near home & carried on and I went for a walk through the park.Got back and deadheaded the climbing rose at the front so the bits could go in the green bin before it's emptied soon.Tea tonight is a chilli I froze a couple of weeks ago.Have a good breakfast Gers & Camelot.TA some of my bus trips end up like that!CarolB happy trip to Wiltshire.FlorenceM hope DH is ok. You're right it was scary to see our poor Ly1a so distressed but she seems fine now, thank goodness.Coxy hope DD is alright after his check up & there's nothing to worry about.House is fairly tidy, suppose I could go back in the loft for another chuck out, to make another tip run worth while & I'll ring a friend this afternoon.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, I'm bringing up the rear today. I had a terrible night last night and was still awake at 4am so I'm quite tired today and we have rain again.
DGD video called us last night to show us all her pens and pencils ready for secondary school, she's so like DD who had to spend hours wandering around a shop. We also saw her in her new uniform, she looked about 15 and not 11 😱 Somehow she is coming up for tea tonight and I still don't know how that happened. DGS not to be left out is booked in to stay overnight on Friday. Perhaps we spoil them because my cooking isn't that good ! 🤔
This morning I have been to Aldi for some extra food because I know they'll have ever open mouths 😂 I have put the frozen food away but I had to have a coffee and post on here before I tackled the rest.
Coxy my fingers are crossed that Dad will be ok.
Carolbee good luck today
Camelot and Gers enjoy your meet up.
RosyR glad DDog is ok.
Peony I hope you feel better soon.
Hugs to the poorly ones, the relatives, animals and the MIA's
Take care all, better shake myself and sort the rest of the shopping.
nan xx

Rosy, glad to hear she's recovered!

I'm last today! It was sunny out the front this morning so I spent a while pulling out all the weeds in between the paving stones. The grass has been cut too so it's looking nice. The painter has been busy in the kitchen so after lunch I sorted the contents of 2 small cupboards in the loving room - a lot was for the bin. Then I sat upstairs and read my Sunday Times. I was trying to keep out of the painters way cos once he starts talking he doesn't stop!
Nannywindow - you've reminded me how long my DDs used to spend in Woolworths choosing a pencil case and pens for September! It used to take them ages.
Gers and Camelot hope you enjoyed your breakfast and hope everyone has had a good day x

Good evening chums , feeling a little better today, although still very tired,
Done zilch today apart from doze and read
DGS Ben arrived this morning with some watermelon for me .He dug up another two potato plants, and went home with a half filled bag of spuds. He gets so excited when he finds them its like he's giving birth to them himself
He hoovered round for me and returned a library book as well I've still not ventured out yet.
I may try a short walk across to the shops tomorrow as I have to get two 'moving home' cards and two wedding anniversary cards, its my eldest DDs 35th anniversary on Sunday, and my youngest's is on Monday.
Its her second marriage, so its only 25 years for her, but they are as happy today as when they first got married ,her husband Simon adores her bless him.
He is the total opposite of my Tess, as she is very outgoing and bubbly, and Simon is quiet and thoughtful, but to him- he sadly came from a rather dysfunctional family- he has been a fantastic dad to the four boys, and to him the family and Tess are his whole life
I have never ever known him to go out anywhere without her by his side. Although opposite in nature they are like a pair of bookends I'm so pleased she met him as her ex wasn't the nicest of chaps to say the least, and she is a lovely lady .
Although my appetite hasn't been up to much for the past week, I have followed Drs orders and am having 5-6 small meals with 2 hours or so in between
So breakfast was some cereal, then mid morning half a strawberry yogurt, lunchtime was the rest of the left over cottage pie from last night (I tend to have half with one meal, then the other half the next day) with some veg.
Mid afternoon I finished off the strawberry yogurt, and at tea time I had a lovely boil egg and two slices of bread and butter which filled me up nicely.I have found by eating little and often my tummy seems to accept it a bit better
One of the tummy cuts seems to have healed up quite well, only three more to go The main one (it was keyhole surgery) has a lot of stitches in, so thats the only one thats giving me a bit of pain at the moment, but I have some good painkillers to take which help a good deal.
Its just not being able to bend in the middle that's a nuisance at the moment, if something falls on the floor it has to stay there for the moment
Its only a week since my op so I just have to be a bit more patient and I know I am getting slowly stronger by the day at least
But onwards and upwards and looks like we may have a couple of nice sunny days at least until the weekend
Take care everyone

Evening all....very late even for me....busy day, watered plants in greenhouse and took in ripe tomatoes, had to manhandle hose as some genius had left it all out the front, where nothing needed watering thanks to all the rain we have had.
After lunch, my daily trip to the hospital, DH very sleepy so didn't stay very long....as usual had to take the trip from the car park with my rollator, which is a gift, as there is rarely a blue badge place nHugsbear hospital entrance.
Evening meeting with my cousin....she is so depressing as is only interested in her own ailments and how badly she was treated by her ex in her twenty years since their divorce and what little support she has got from her family.....I meet her once in a blue moon to stop myself feeling guilty.
Knitting tomorrow morning then straight to hospital again.
Hugs to all in need of want of one, especially JackieO
