According to Endole, Logitech Investments Ltd is the holding company for Logitech Electronics Limited:

That does not obviously explain why your FiL was paying £550 a month to them - maybe it will be more obvious to you.
Sorry for your loss.1 -
The people who are directors there are also directors of Logitech Electronics Ltd which appears to have the same address.beckstar1975 said:FIL has died and we’re going through his paperwork and notice a £550 a month payment to Logitech Investments Ltd on his bank statement, does anyone have any ideas what it is?

£550 a month buys a lot of mice...1

I know, we found the company link and their address is local to where he lived but I assume it’s a scam of some sort, there’s no way he’s bought anything, especially not that required that much paying for it:eek::eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20170

Could he have been buying shares in the company?beckstar1975 said:I know, we found the company link and their address is local to where he lived but I assume it’s a scam of some sort, there’s no way he’s bought anything, especially not that required that much paying for it0 -
As far as I can tell from Companies House, the holding company of Logitech Electronics is Logitech Electronics Holdings Limited, which in turn is owned by the directors. However, Logitech Investments has the same address and directors so it presumably fits into the company structure somewhere.Grumpy_chap said:According to Endole, Logitech Investments Ltd is the holding company for Logitech Electronics Limited:

Logitech Electronics Ltd makes sensors and appears unrelated to the Swiss mouse manufacturer.
I would get in touch with Logitech Electronics and ask them why he was paying them this money. (After cancelling the DD.) It is very odd, but I wouldn't assume a scam at this point.0 -
Hopefully the account is now frozen, if not please contact the bank and inform them of his death which will stop all payments in or out.Malthusian said:

This does seem odd, the company itself looks legit.0 -
Can you trace how far back these payments have been getting made?0

Scammers do not use direct debits. The direct debit system has protections in place where banks use reputable companies (putting aside that reputable companies can have poor service that can frustrate at times). So, if this payment is via DD then its likely to be genuine.
However, if it is a standing order, its a different matter. You can set up a standing order to using whatever bank details you are told. The payee name is not necessarily the receiving account name.

thanks for all - DH did some more digging and one of the company directors is related to the landlady of the property so it's rent, just going to the company rather than to her personally. Phew!
