    Quick post as im just going out..... Your wife s income will be assessed only as that she makes a reasonable contribution to household expenses. You will not receive JSA as your wife takes you out of that equation, but you should be exempt from the court fee on concession 2. Take proof to court with you as in the guidance notes.

    Are you claiming working / child tax credits ? You should always be better off working than not so you should still have at least £ 250 per week " cash in your pocket" after any contributions to rent or c/tax.

  • We are claiming working tax credits and have informed them of me losing my job,so just waiting for the revised figure,guess im now a house husband? :eek:

  • Just phoned the council to see ho we are doing on the waiting list and they havent even put us up to gold+ band like they promised :eek: Still in bronze band so god knows when we will get a home :-( Only 10 working days left till we have to be out :(

    You can still stay put after the possession date. Your lender then has to apply for an eviction warrant. Some lenders wait months to do this. Contact shelter to see if there is a local housing charity in your area.
