Legal insurance expenses

Hello
i have recently added legal expenses insurance to my home insurance policy. I have also been in dispute with my sister regarding distribution of mothers estate; no legal action has yet been taken but the dispute pre dates my taking out the LEI, my question is whether if I decide to pursue a legal case, wiIl I be covered by LEI? bw

The free legal advice line that comes with LE typically covers almost anything

To actually make a claim, ie have a lawyer represent you, then the topics covered are typically much tighter and family law isnt one of the topics typically covered. If it is then you have the issue that its pre-existing to your policy... if you had had continuous cover then they are normally agnostic to it being pre-existing but a new policy with no prior cover would almost certainly be a decline.
