TrueCall Phone with answerphone and Digital Voice (VoIP)

Hi folks,

We have recently been switched over to a Digital Voice phone line with our Home Broadband ISP.

We have a combined Phone/Answerphone with TrueCall screening that announces any unknown callers which we can choose to accept or divert to the answerphone.

Since moving to the Digital Voice line, any answerphone messages continue with a series of annoying beeps. This is apparently due to the digital line not recognising that the caller has hung up so continues recording the message for a short time after the call ends.

Anyone having a similar issue?

Is anyone using the TrueCall screening answerphone without issue and it work as before?

TIA for any advice.

Coincidentally I was about to post asking if anybody knew if phones incorporating trueCall retain their full functionality with Digital Voice? My reason for asking was that here:

    https://www.truecall.co.uk/category-s/128.htm

it says: "We don't recommend that you use trueCall with VoIP adaptors", though they don't give any explanation as to why not.

  • My 93 yr old neighbour has a true call to stop scammers contacting her and it has worked beautifully until today when BT switched over the analogue line to digital and now it doest work. When you call, the libebeeps and then goes silent. I need to know how to get this working again to protect her from scam calls but she doesn't have a digital footprint. She's not attached to the Internet and therefore doesn't have a modem to plug into. What is the solution for someone who isn't digital?
