Car Insurance via comparison and directly at same time

I have entered my details into the comparison web sites, but can I also go directly to one of the companies for a quote so I can get more details about what is covered as they offer different policies directly but on the comparision site I am not so certain about the full cover.
Will this prevent me using the comparison site link later.

It's fine. Just don't try changing 'fixed' details such as number of accidents or you might start triggering anti fraud measures.0
