Sell for £1 maximum fees

Can someone - soolin? - explain a couple of things please.
If you get an offer from eBay, usually Friday to Monday period - to sell an item with maximum £1 fees does this mean you need to advertise and sell the item within this period please? If the item doesn't sell and eBay relist it then that offer has lapsed and it goes back to normal selling fees payable.
How do you stop eBay relisting an item if it doesn't sell within the period you have set ie 7 days etc.?
I have looked and looked and can’t see how, other than cancelling item and saying Not available etc. Many thanks.

At the end of the offer selling period just end the listings and wait for the next FVFs weekend and then relist..1

Just to be clear it doesn't mean it has to sell in the period that the offer is running - that's the period you need to list it in. The discount will then apply to any sale during that listing period. Once it ends just delist it if it gets relisted. I think you can set when you list whether to auto relist or not but I never really worried about it, I just keep an eye on it.1

I couldn't see anywhere you can stop autolist but have done what you’ve said previously and delisted. I don’t sell many items at all on eBay as try Marketplace and Gumtree which is more successful and local. Also cheaper without any charges!

If you list as an auction for say 7 days then you would only get the reduced fees if it sold at end of 7 days, not if it gets automatically relisted and then sells. The easy thing to do assuming you have less than 100 items listed is to end and relist everytime you get an offer. It isn’t possible to turn off the auto relist on BINs (you can on auctions) but you can end a BIN at any point you like without penalty.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
