Hi guys, appreciate a bit of advice concerning I could back up.
keep getting messages saying it’s full, but in general, shows only 2.5Gb used ?
I had another iPad,, no longer in use, so deleted back up for extra space.
only had this one 6 months.

Does one need everything backed up everything ?
can certain back ups be deleted.?
never back up anything intentionally, pics or anything.
wouldn’t know how to retrieve it, never had to try.
use google drive for pics I want, but rarely use it.
any advice welcome.

There are scam emails pretending to come from iCloud. I get them sometimes, I just ignore them.1

Cheers come and go.
I cannot understand why I have 2.5Gb back up?
I never back up anything intentionally, so assume it’s auto.
how do I find out what’s there.?
In general it tells me the amount of each thing backed up, but how do I access it to see if I need to keep it or discard it?

Go to Settings
Click on your name (Apple ID)
click on icloud - from this point you can go into "icloud backup" and from here you can turn the backup on/off or switch aps on/off
click on storage
a few down in the list it should says "backups" and how many GB
if you click on backup it should show you which devices and the amounts
