Old central heating bits - scrap value?

So I figure that the copper pipes I'll replace will probably have some scrap value
Though do the radiators? It's a 1975 house so it doesn't have those old heavy cast iron stuff. I saw a post here from 2016 that they're not worth much but that was tbf 2016 and demand goes up over time.
Is there any kind of scrap metal value for old radiators these days? Or is it just better to go and recycle it?

Scrap ferrous metal ( old radiators ) will get about £250 a tonne.
Copper will be around £5000 per tonne.
Have a look here for an indication of prices.

The copper pipes will probably go for more but I wouldn't replace the radiators at the same time purely because I want Jaga Strada ones0 -
old central hating timers are worth quite a bit for some reason. they sell on eBay for £30-£60 depending on the model.

I used to buy the old pumps for my pond for £5.1

I got my radiators replaced a short time ago. The plumber who did the work took them to the local scrap merchant who gives about £100 per ton for small quantities of steel. I know this as I have been there myself. The plumber probably would have had to pay landfill tax if he disposed of it anywhere else as he is a business. If you dumped them yourself in the Council dump, you would not have to pay landfill tax, but why do that if you can go to a scrap merchant and get some money for you trouble?PS you might be able to get the scrap merchant to collect the radiators if they are local to you, but they are unlikely to give you anything for them. My local scrap merchant collected my old heating oil tank once but said the collection cost as much as the scrap value and could not give me anything for it.1

It's quite bad however that in 2016, these were apparently near worthless and now they're worth a fair bit0
