Sellers on Vinted have 5 working days to post something, in reality it can be a few days extra and some sellers do take advantage of that and when buying I always double check feedback in case there are any mentions of delays in posting. If sellers don’t post within that time frame then sale is cancelled and sellers get an automatic negative, so I always check for that as well and never buy from a seller who has cancelled sales.

I see no reason not to post quickly, mine is usually same or next day, if I can’t post for longer than 2 days I just put my holiday settings on.

But...I am very careful about what I buy.
I check the photos in minute detail and if I'm not sure of anything I ask.
I suppose it depends on the popularity of the item. If I see something with a good material and brand name at a low price I know it is likely to sell quickly. I could email the seller and ask a questions but if it takes them a few hours to get back to me then there is a good chance someone else will buy the item. As a result of this I have ended up with multiple t-shirts that are too small for me but I take the resale potential of the item into account before buying. Luxury brand names and some high street store clothing usually do well.

  • I sell on both - Ebay is larger market, you get paid immediately, and goods tend to for higher prices, but on flip side you pay for it in fees.  Vinted you don't get paid until buyer has received goods, and buyers tend to haggle / want charity shop prices... but as a seller you have no fees.

    Both platforms have their place!
