It's worth digging a test pit for testing the ground to work out the size required for a soakaway.

    some updates after today's digging..
    - direction of gully pipe (3) is towards house though I get the pipe stuck after 1meter. Unable to get any further so not sure if its a soak-away under the concrete area..? (see changes marked in sketch)
    - what I found inside 5 is a valve control for the external water connection. need bit more digging to see if any connection from there as there is an external tap there and I suppose there will be a mechanism to drain excess water from tap.

    Thanks
